I was talking with my brother about snares, knot tying and such when he hit me with a revelation. While I'm consuming my time with learning the knots, loops, snares, etc... he just uses rat traps tied off to a tree. They were easily concealed, re-usable, already have a bait station and dirt cheap at any dollar store.
For anyone who doesn't have the time or aptitude for snares and knot tying this is a great idea. Find out what the little critter will and won't snack on and you're set.
The only "work" involved is drilling a hole in the end of the trap for the tie off cable.
