I swear every time I hear it was a sniper or sniper this or sniper that in regards to the Texas incident, my head wants to explode

No surprise though. Statistically a shooter is almost certain to be using a sniper rifle if the proportions of sniper rifles to regular rifles sold is the same in the U.S. as that offered here.

As far as liberal media goes you got snipers or you got mislead misguided young innocent Americans who were forgotten an cast aside by society so they went and bought a "machine gun" an shoots up places.... There weak sad people that sought attention the wrong way IMO. If the guy/guys in Texas are considered snipers then call me Chris Kyle cause I've popped deer at double the yardage they were firing at with a slower heavier round (.35rem)

I believe that any person who takes aim at only selected people could be called a sniper. Doesn't mean they are a sniper, just a different agenda to a shooter that tries to shoot anyone.

But I do agree, the media likes to use buzz words to spark emotions.
