Was hoping for a bit more snow today, but in any case I went out to the farm pond to see if the cold front had pushed any ducks down. I found a bunch of mallards, but couldn't get close enough to them. However, I was able to get my first Canadian geese when they flew low back over me. Thank you Lord!

Cooking geese recipe
Take 2X2 14 inches long
Rub goose thoroughly good with your favorite rub
Slid 2x2 through cavity
Slow cook it at 200 degrees for 4 hours
When done slid out 2x2 throw goose away and eat 2x2

Just kidding congrats on the geese.

HaHa! I've also heard that everything is good...wrapped in bacon.

That's awesome, I have made jerky out of goose meat that turned out pretty good

I cooked it last night and all I say is if anyone shoots these things here in the Gainesville area and doesn't want them...drop me a PM and I'll drive over to pick them up for you.
