It depends on the accuracy you're looking for. BCM has the "Filthy 14" that has gone for 40k+ rounds:

If you're looking for sub-moa you'll probably replace the barrel after a couple thousand rounds.

I have an older Bushmaster with a chrome lined barrel. It's 15 years old and I have probably averaged at least 800 to a 1000 rounds a year, often much more than that. That's about 13,500 rounds. It still runs reliably and is a sub MOA rifle with the right ammo. I have not babied it and have run it very hard at times. I'm still completely confident with it's capabilities.
