About 2 months ago I sent in my paperwork for my first suppressor. Is there any way to check the status of it or is it just a waiting game?

So I paper filed

yes, call the ATF number. you need info. not sure what it is. serial number and store name or some such. at 2 months you might be pending as it takes a week or so for the check to clear then 8-12 weeks for the data entry people to put your paper file in the system.
Yeah I haven't bothered calling yet because it won't speed it up. I managed to get one e-filed before it went down and I've got two paper filed. Still wishing efile would come back. I'd gets couple more in quick if it did.
You will need patience for sure....but once adequate time has passed call (304) 616-4500....give them the Serial Number of the item, your name or the name of your Trust and who your dealer is. They will give you a date you went pending and tell you a really really long estimate of when to expect your stamp....seriously, I would wait at least three months from when the check is cashed before calling. Anything else just seems desperate.

It's just a waiting game... and whatever you do, don't start shooting other people's suppressed guns- that makes the wait feel much worse.
Well maybe it is about time to call. 6 months and and I'm starting to get antsy!
