So much complaining about "Noobs" and in general

Just a question and an observation.

I am on a few different forums, a few firearms, but most not....same general demographics though.

I don't see nearly as much *****ing and moaning about things in general and especially not so heavily geared towards new members.

First, I find it somewhat unwelcoming and seriously pretentious. Must we ignore the many with higher post counts are also jerks and make bonehead moves? Asshattery is not isolated to new members. Aren't we seeming like we don't want outsiders unless they trade exactly as we would, have like minded opinions and generally bring very little flavor?

Rules are rules. I'm not speaking about that per se, but about how a member sells or trades his stuff within the sites rules.

This probably seems like yet another complaining thread, and its long winded, but I would like to know if anyone else shares this view or if most Noobs just need us to "teach em"?

I have met and traded with several "Noobs" that have been stand up guys...

Asshattery abounds and just because you have a post count less than 1k and less than a few + feedbacks doe NOT mean that you are a Noob to how to conduct yourself...

there are PLENTY of folks on here with Thousands of posts that still don't get it...Keyboard commandos are everywhere....I don't judge a person by their post count as much as I do by their words and tact when writing them on the forum. If I decide to trade with them, then how the conduct business is another sure indication of character....

I have enjoyed this site for a few years now and have met many good people.....like anything, you take the good with the bad...

I found it funny the only person who complained about me being a newbie when I first logged on was the same guy who then lied and tried to screw me on a deal. Other than that most of the people on here have been decent. I think some people forget that people may be new here but that doesn't mean they are new to the sport. But the people posting $1400 ar's on there first at bat definitely could jade a person.

One post count or more removes any Noob status.

As Shane said...1000's of post counts just means you talk alot, but say nothing at all worth hearing or, you don't have anything better to do than sit on a computer all day.

I'm not gonna say much because I don't want to get started but I WILL say this: I no longer suggest this forum to people anymore because in this current market as soon as they join, a (0) post count and (0) feedback will blacklist them for months and the first thing they will see are threads directed at NOOBS being all bad for business and clogging up the DEALS that supposedly still exist in the classifieds. (Yes-the run on sentence was intended.) Mini-Rant Over.

I don't see post count. I use a old app from a iPhone. I could care less how many post anyone has. I can also see a smartass regardless of post count. It's a great site pay no mind to the crazies. ALOT of great people on here. Just have to around a few to find em.
