So, Who Here is "FAMOUS"..?!

My son was about to leave after coaching at baseball practice at Newnan High School one afternoon a few years ago, when a car pulled up behind him. He got out of his truck, and out of the car popped Nick Saban and Kirby Smart. They were looking for the field house to meet with Alec Ogletree. My son said he was surprised how small Saban was. He was a coach at NHS with Steve Bedrosian when he was a community baseball coach there.
My daughter-in-law's cheerleader partner at Mercer was the boy who got killed along with his girlfriend at Lake Juliette. The killer was just executed a couple of weeks ago.

Great great great grandson for chief Gray eagle. Gray Eagle was the last Cherokee chief in Georgia. He resided in the gap between Tallulah Mountain and Hickory Nut Mountain. My people have walk this land for thousands of years. So if all you aliens from Europe, Asia, Africa, Mexico, Australia, Antarctica and South America would start packing your bags and get the hell off my peoples land that would be great. Thanks.

Or if you don't want to leave we can march you day and night down the Trail Of Tears where only 25% of you will die of disease and starvation.
We might have just beat you here.

Either way, you lost. Get over it.:thumb:

Yes it is kind of a sore spot, but I woundn't have any part of deportation or genocide toward any american. Just like to remind people every once and a while.

Quick question for you. Do you make fun of Jewish people who talk about the holocaust?

Theres not much difference other than the fact that more good Jewish folks around than the Native americans. When the last time you saw a family of Natives having dinner together outside of a !@$%ing reservation?

If you guys would have fought harder, you might not have to picnic on the Res.

Went to meet my parents in Lynchburg at their hotel, they were there for my college graduation and going up the steps I was looking to my right and ran into a black gentleman walking slowly down the steps with assistance. I apologized for bumping into him, he smiled and said "no problem friend", I immediately recognized him and asked where was he performing, he said he was singing at the Sweetwater College graduation. It was Ray Charles.

I am the great great grandson of Donehogawa aka Ely Samuel Parker. He was a Seneca Chief and Colonel for the North during the Civil War and was very close friends of General Grant. He wrote the document that Lee had to sign to surrender at Appomattox and he was a witness to the event. Ely was a very dark skinned Indian and when General Lee entered the room to hand Grant his sword, all the witnesses were lined along the wall. Lee whispered to an aid, "why do they have a n***** in an officers uniform here? He was a bit outraged considering the times. His aid whispered back that he was an injun to which Lee said aloud "At least there's one true American here to witness this historic event". I haven't been in a few years, but I grew up going to the Parker family reunions up around Roaring fork/ Hot Springs NC. My Grandfather always claimed to be Cherokee and he did have some Cherokee blood but Pembroke/Seneca with some Cherokee is more accurate for our lineage on his side of the family. I figure he claimed Cherokee mostly due to living/growing up/dying near Cherokee NC and just taking up with the Cherokee from childhood on.

Haha! Yep, that's the one I was trying to remember. And I remember Ms. Hazel, one of the sweetest ladies I've ever known. She used to give me cookies and pie and all kinds of stuff when I was little. I even remember going to the old county prison on Sunday afternoons with my Dad and eat dinner with Sheriff Potts and the warden, and later on with Aaron Massey. I used to get to go on patrol with my Dad and "Uncle Aaron" on weekend nights, Aaron would sit in the backseat of those old Plymouth Furys and go to sleep while me and Dad did the patrols around the county. Aaron was so big in those days he could fill up nearly the whole back seat of that Fury! He was huge!

I do not remember Sheriff Potts, I am a bit younger than you :), but I remember Sheriff Massey well. When all the other parents dropped their kids off at grandma's to go Christmas shopping; I got dropped off at the Coweta County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Massey would always lock me in a holding cell and walk off singing something, but I have tried to remember the song for the majority of my adult life and can't.

I'm descended from the house of Plantagenet, William the Bastard/Conquerer, Harald Hardrada, Ivar the boneless and Robert the Bruce. Personally, I've played plenty of concerts with national touring bands.

I also have some fairly prominent Indian ancestors, but I don't claim them. History is wrote by the victors, we're all adults here so let's be honest. The "old ways" were stupid, I'm glad civilization won out.
