I'm descended from the house of Plantagenet, William the Bastard/Conquerer, Harald Hardrada, Ivar the boneless and Robert the Bruce. Personally, I've played plenty of concerts with national touring bands.

I also have some fairly prominent Indian ancestors, but I don't claim them. History is wrote by the victors, we're all adults here so let's be honest. The "old ways" were stupid, I'm glad civilization won out.

Don't forget Ragnar Lodbrok, Ivar's papa. He sacked and burned Paris. Nothing to sneeze at!

almost wish i hadn't seen this.. i started looking through the thread and read the junk..... i'm also half Cherokee....
you gotta laugh at people like that, i understand how some can be.. i am proud of my heritage , but i don't moan about anything that's happened in the past

She's buried where we have our family reunion, her headstone has been vandalized so many times it's crazy. She's not buried in Newnan by the way. She also practiced law & medicine without a liscense. Somebody was in Newnan a couple of years ago supposedly doing research on her to write a book about her. I knew Lamar Potts when I was a kid, my Dad was a deputy in Coweta County way back then. I even have a picture of my Dad with Sheriff Potts and a couple other LEO's with a whole bunch of moonshine they confiscated after busting a still.

Small world. My granny used to cook for Sheriff Potts & the Coweta County Jail and my grandmother would deliver the food. Lots of interesting stories about Sheriff Potts. She's buried in Madris in the church cemetary next to the school house.

I'm first generation on both sides of my family that was born here in the U.S. Not really sure if we have any famous family members back in Ireland or Belgium.
