It’s rare that I see a well graded sod job. It’s funny the dependency of sod rollers these days as if it’s going to fix bad grading. I never need to use them on my jobs.
I do erosion and drainage, often times my customers want some sod installed in the "effected" areas.
I install Zoysia and Bermuda. Centipede isn't so popular at the supply houses so I have zero idea a price.
HOWEVER, the install.............
So make sure you have the folks use some type of machine to prepare the existing ground. Just don't have them lay it on bare dirt or weeds. i use a "harley rake" on the front of my bobcat. It's about a $7000 attachment and does a great job.
And if they show up with a garden tiller, you may want to re-think the entire situation.
Labor: Depends. All depends on size, hill, level, ground prep, roots, rocks, etc., but a rough idea of labor for 1-3 pallets is 60 cents to a dollar a sq ft. This is very, very broad.....More sq ft and the price comes down a little.
