Solving the mask shortage - wear a mask please

Why the anecdotal evidence (personal) so important to people. That doesn't matter and is not how data science works. But since you asked: The first girl I kissed is a nurse at Gwinnett Medical. She posts a week ago that her hospital is reach capacity with long ER wait times and gave a plea for people to wear masks. It got a ton of shares and stuff.

I don't watch CNN or Fox. Gov Kemp announced Friday that Georgia would increase hospital bed capacity as COVID-19 hospitalizations surged. Does Kemp work for CNN?

Ok mr. skience guy, below are 3 studies and one statement from a nation's health minister that say kids don't transmit the virus. And there's more out there if you want to educate yourself further.

Schools are opening all over the world, but leftists are still fighting it here. Care to explain why???

One study - "Seven days after the first cases were diagnosed, 1 tertiary case was detected in a symptomatic patient with from the chalet a positive endotracheal aspirate; all previous and concurrent nasopharyngeal specimens were negative. Additionally, 172 contacts were monitored. The fact that an infected child did not transmit the disease despite close interactions within schools suggests potential different transmission dynamics in children. https://academic.oup.com/cid/article/doi/10.1093/cid/ciaa424/5819060

Another study in Iceland - "We have not found a single instance of a child infecting parents." https://www.nationalreview.com/corn...single-instance-of-a-child-infecting-parents/

From Switzerland - The health ministry's infectious diseases chief Daniel Koch said scientists had concluded that young children did not transmit the virus. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-52470838

From France - "School kids don’t appear to transmit the new coronavirus to peers or teachers, a French study found" https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...n-don-t-spread-coronavirus-french-study-shows

reklawd reklawd I do enjoy having you on ODT, seriously. We don't agree but its a lively conversation always.

That goes both ways. For me, I enjoy being around people I disagree with because that is the best way to be a change agent - both in society and in my own beliefs. You might not believe it but I've learned a thing or two on here and my mind has changed.

Circle jerks are boring AF.

I think schools should reopen and the kids need to wear masks as the science you are touting is too small a sample size. The science on how kids spread it is not complete and we won't know until we get large groups of kids back together.

“The reality is, we won’t know until we put large numbers of kids close together again,” said Dr. Michael Chang, a pediatric infectious disease specialist with McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. “Our knowledge about the virus is constantly changing. We’re still learning new things every day.”

And there you have it... I believe in skience except when it doesn't suit my agenda. :pound:

As I said there are other studies as well. Pretty much every country has produced one. But we both know that no matter how much skientific proof is provided, it won't matter...

Huh, I said I was for opening schools because right now there isn't the science backing the fact that kids spread this disease like adults and the initial data is showing the opposite. Open the schools, see a large outbreak tracing back to them, shut them down again. Which will effectively happen - All of the large counties are going virtual, and the smaller rural ones are trying to do a combo or fully open. We can see what happens in Sept or Aug to learn more about how it is spread via kids.

Your immediate reaction to everything seems to be combative. Focus on controlling that anger and channeling it into something positive in your life. Everything will be ok.

all this for the sake of a damn argument.Really should get out more. I know, see how much chain you can swim across Lanier with.

You haven't said anything worthwhile on my posts in over a year. You just post to complain that I'm posting. And for me to KMS.

Look into a mirror and take your own advice about getting out more.
