Some ICON Stuff

Oh, also just a heads up… there’s been rumors that Icon is going to replace/upgrade that Racthet bit set with a new set that includes some basic metric sockets… or you could just buy a cheap socket set while youre at HF. Those kits are great for around the house and to keep in the vehicle.

Icon is a top quality product for a fraction of cost the tool trucks charge. There are a lot of torture tests conducted on YT if you ever doubt what an Icon can do. Money back guarantee. I live close so I take advantage of the 30, 35 and 40 percent off sales along with the rare 45 percent off sales.

Another good sale coming up too!!!

The new techs at work will buy HF tools with mixed results. I will say HF has stepped up their game and overall the hand tool quality is a whole lot better than 20 years ago. My trainee bought a HF torx set and they broke during the first couple of uses, and no he was not using a impact gun.

I have spent so much on the Snap-on , Matco, Mac tool lines when I used to twist wrenches for a living…. I could have bought a house for what I have in just the Snap On box !! It is ridiculous!
But you had to have the good stuff if you wanted it to last more than a week or so.
Yeah, they all have warranty but spending all your off days running back and forth to replace broke stuff isn’t fun.
And most of them like Sears wouldnt warranty their stuff if they found out you were using it professionally !

I gave them a shot a few times. That stuff is low end junk. I dont care how close to the house they are or how many times they will replace the broken pos with a shiney, new pos. It's not worth the busted knuckles and blood and frustration. At least not to me - but y'all carry on!

I agree 100%. When my trainee showed me his new HF tools I said you're going to be making a lot of trips to replace them. After the torx sockets broke and a ratchet stripped the gears he started buying better quality.

I suppose HF is good for DIY when your livelihood doesn't depend on it. I have ratchets that are 44 years old and still going strong.
