river of guns is just a search engine that pulls from forums and for sale boards. I doubt it’s sanctioned by anyone here but who cares if it sales your item quicker? Scammers and wack jobs are everywhere it’s the internet we choose who and who not to deal with.

New members seems like a good thing to me, more possible revenue stream to keep ODT alive and new gun owners to add to our community.

as long as you’re not sending someone in Pakistan 2,000 in iTunes gift cards to “get the goods” you’ll be ok. I’ve honestly had 0 issues with scammers on here which is really good considering some of the other alternatives.

It's been 50/50 for me lately, almost got to mad to deal with them anymore. But then I remember i was new in 2018 and the member who I first traded with.

Yup, I don't plan to sell to sketchy people unless I can verify they have some kind of history that contributes to the site here. If they can't take the time to post in any of the forum topics I would just suspect they are only around to grab up a gun for some unknown reason.

Given that most of my gun's were purchased by me or went through a transfer form I won't be taking any chances selling a gun to some nut that will use it in a crime/political movement. Last thing I need is the police or FBI at my door asking questions or inviting themselves in with a search warrant.

I've dealt with plenty of new members & felt good about new members joining, but lately it's become a situation where I have to judge people on how they write/talk and if they can actually prove they have a concealed carry license.

I'm honestly not happy knowing that River of Gun's is showing our listings on their site.
