Some really nice vehicles in this thread!

Back in the early 90s I was a die hard Ford guy. I had a 92 GT with TFS Twisted Wedge heads, custom cam, GT-40 intake, nitrous, and all the usual bolt-ons. It was a high 12 second car on motor and high 11s on the juice. Back then, a 12 second car was considered to be FAST, unlike nowadays where they're a dime a dozen. Anyway, I was pretty proud of this little Stang as it was putting those pesky Camaros and Firebirds in their place for several years. Right up until GM unleashed the mighty LS1 that is.

I had heard rumors that these LS1 cars were capable of getting into the high 12s bone stock, with nothing more than drag radials. I figured it was all just a bunch of hype until I had the misfortune of lining up with one at the drag strip. It was a black WS6 Trans Am with the only mods being exhaust and drag radials. He ran a 12.8X to my 13.00 (naturally aspirated). I witnessed several other LS1 cars clicking off similar times with very few minor mods. It seemed that the hype was all true!

So, a year or so later (around 99 or 00) I was in the market for a new car. At the time, Ford's offerings of sub 300 (crank) hp cars didn't come anywhere close to the monsters that GM was offering which were commonly putting out more HP at the WHEELS than what was advertised at the crank. So I jumped ship and traded in my blue oval for a bowtie (or Pontiac, same thing!).

I bought a brand new 99 Trans Am and started taking it to the track and doing a few mods. I managed to get it into the high 11s naturally aspirated with nothing but bolt-ons, 3500 stall, minor weight reduction and ET streets (stock heads, cam and intake).

Once I reached my goal of N/A bolton only 11s, I did heads, cam, intake and a few other things. It was then a solid 11 second car naturally aspirated and is currently running 6.50s in the 1/8 (low 10s in the 1/4) on a 150 shot.. still with the stock short block.

I sold it a couple of years ago to make a down payment on our home. A friend of mine bought it and still races it all the time.

Which brings me to my current toy. I picked up this C5 last year which is stock other than a couple of exhaust mods. Its my daily driver.

Oh yeah, I also have a 1994 Honda Magna.

Just traded my 2007 Mustang for this 2013 premium V-6 with 6 speed tranny. The '07 was a great car, but this one is better in several ways. The 2011 F-150 does the heavier work001.jpgP1010003.jpgP1010087.JPG

I had posted some before pics of my 1977 FJ40 back in January. Just got back after a tear down and re-painted original color (dune beige). It already had a 4 inch Hell for Stout lift kit so I went with some 20 inch wheels and Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ tires. Also decided to rhino line interior and exterior of top white and entire flor pan and sides were rhino lined black.
