So since we haven't seen a copy of the ticket are we in agreement that OP just wanted to start a cop-bashing thread? In other words, no ticket. All made up. Just bored on a Friday ODT frivolity?

Because jaf1 was speeding and he admits that and the officer wrote him a ticket.

Just pay the ticket. In 43 years of driving Ive had 2 speeding tickets. First one in 81. Went through a speed trap at 125 while drunk. Got off with 81 in a 55. $35. Last one in Elberton headed to the lake to fish. Followed this guy from Royston to Elberton with no way to pass pulling a boat. Finally get around him and young cop lights me up. 53 in 35. $168. Pay the ticket n move on.

Literally everyone on the interstate and highways speed. Everyone goes over the speed limit every single day breaking the law. So I know he was speeding, the question is was he endangering anyone and deserved a ticket or was this cop just acting as a revenue generator preying on a empty construction zone as a trap.

I wouldn't give either the benefit of doubt, sure lots of people speed excessively but cops also love to set up traps in order to extort. Only they know what happened which is why I say if Jaf believes his speed was appropriate, and the cop only wrote the ticket exploiting a workzone speed limit then he should definitely plead his case in court.
