I know it’s the knife chat, thought knife people might be axe heads too.
Have had a few trees felled, was not going to bother splitting, but they looked so good lined up there cut the perfect length.
So, about to buy, this week, a splitting axe. The Fiskars X27 looks good, any thoughts.
This seems available locally in store, I’d purchase online if it’s much better.

If you are talking splitting maul, I have one you can have. I haven't used it in years. Once I put a motorized splitter in the back yard I retired it.
PM meet if you want it and we'll figure the rest out.
 
Had my share of splitting logs !! It’s a good bit of work for sure !! lol.
Hydraulic splitter is much easier, even if you just rent one for a couple of days !! Unless you just want to split wood for exercise .
If you split by hand, make sure you get a good wedge. You will need one for damned sure.
