I've been buying from Sportsman's Guide going on three years now. After the school shooting in Newtown when everyone was panicking to buy any 223/5.56 or.22lr, Sportsman's Guide was my go to source.
Their system could be easily manipulated/tricked into selling you ammo that the website claimed was out of stock. Their system would "sandbag/hold" ammo for the folks that were next in line on the waiting list. With the Jedi Mind Trick, you always became the next person in line for the ammo that's available, basically electronically cutting in line to snag the ammo, It worked like a champ and allowed you to move to the front of the waiting line to buy ammo. I stockpiled several of cases of 22lr (5000 rounds per case) and several cases of PMC Bronze .223 or X Tac 5.56 using the Jedi mind trick. Thanks to a fellow brother here on ODT and AR-15.com forum section explaining step by step how to do it. Eventually Sportsman's Guide discovered the loop hole allowing the Jedi Mind Trick and closed it down.
I still buy from them on a regular basis and love the ability to split larger purchases into 4 equal payments. S.G. is good people in my book!
