I found a 8" baby today. I couldn't ID it as a copperhead. So off it went to the neighbor's yard.

A copperhead that short would have a bright green tail.

Had a 2 ft non-VENOMOUS in the driveway yesterday, wife jumped up onto the kitchen table nearly from INSIDE the garage and started screaming like a school girl. She's insisting we move ASAP....

While they're still creepy as Hell, I give "good" snakes a pass. I'll sling them off in the woods by my house and let 'em be.

Copperheads, on the other hand, get instant judgement.

have had a bunch of king snakes around the house and property ever since I've lived here. Rescued 2 Rottweilers from a ignorant dog owner and the first thing they did was kill a large king that had beena round here for years. Hated that , but now the snakes hVE MOVED TO THE BACK Yrd ND THE DOGS ARE IN THE FRONT. they REALLY DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE UNWANTED RODENT POPULATION.

Pulled this one out of neighbors chicken coop just after he downed an egg. Let him loose behind the house.

I hope he was proud to have killed a harmless King snake.

Saw a news report the other day with a DNR guy talking about the increase in copperheads due to.... people killing King Snakes! "Here's your sign."



Had a solid 6' black rat in the back yard the other day. Went to get a closer look and shoot a pic and then let him go on his merry way.
