St Simons Island fishing

Please reply with reports and tips for St Simons beach and pier late July. (yeah, I know, 99/99 temp/humidity)

Too late for the party, but how did you fare?

We go to North end of the island and head out to fish. Never disappointed. Big reds, sharks, trout, you name it.

We fruitlessly floated live shrimp in the Hampton River. Water was quite murky from the monsoon.

Wow. Must have been a weather inflicted drought. Every time we pull loads from the Hampton River and just where the ocean meets, too. Spinner sharks, big reds (all over slot limit), etc.
