Staccato

I never cared for a double stack 1911/ 2011. Had an early Para Ordinance P14 for a total of 30 min until I traded it. Ive shot a Staccato and they are smooth but just not my thing. They seem to be the Rolex of the gun world. Look at me! I tend to buy user friendly guns and collectable guns that I think will go up in value. I don’t see a Staccato in either group. JMHO

I find the Staccato to be “user friendly”, in that I run them very well. My EDC for a while now has been a Staccato C2.

It all has to do with personal preference. I have different carry set-ups for different reasons. I had one and liked it, but I felt i couldn't justify it just sitting on a shelf. I now have a Prodigy with MIM parts and I have never had a problem

Love my Staccato C, I have a hard time carrying it as an EDC. I say this not because it is unreliable or any function problem. I hate the Idea of using a 3500$ pistol in a self defense situation and loosing it until the case is over and every person playing with it with their grubby meat paws.

The staccatos were an entry drug for me. I had to sell them to fund an Atlas and Nighthawk...although I did keep my XC.

For what its worth, the Staccatos are nice and shoot awesome, nearly the same as the atlas and nighthawk but admittedly... Im also an one-upper in my circles.

I sort of poo-poo'd these guns up until recently. Thought the pricing was crazy, seemed like a gun only guys with a man bun would own, etc.

Then I got to fondle one at the NRA show. I can now understand the interest in them. Super smooth, although I still don't love the grip angle.

I had a couple of C2s. Great guns. I still have one but I'm looking to sell it once I get my CS. I need something smaller. I have plenty of range toys but the Staccato for me is a good carry option. I vacillate back and forth between 45 ACP and 9mm. I like the way 45 ACP shoots. Its much easier to find a super accurate load with cheap lead bullets of which I have thousands. The 9mm not so much even with the Staccato. I have to use good jacketed bullets (Hornady HAP at a minimum) to get the same level of accuracy that I get from my 45 ACP. I strive for sub 2' at 25 yards using a dot. I wish Staccato made a compact DS alloy pistol in 45 ACP.
