Star Super B issue

Tap the hole and cut off a screw of the correct thread and make a plug, then tiny weld on top of the plug. I just plugged some scope mount holes in a mauser receiver that way, wasn't hard or time consuming.

(Like Hayata I sometimes buy broke stuff for the sake of a project )

This sounds like a really good, simple solution.

I took a piece of over size steel rod in a drill and used files and sandpaper turned it down to the correct diameter, cut it to the length to fill the channel, filed the notch so the rear sight holds it in place like the original part. If and when I find the correct part all I will have to do is tap out the rear sight, tap out the rod, install the correct part and rear sight and it's back original.
