Starting a AR10 build

Also when I bought my PSA PA10 had a few extra coins to put in it so they had drop in three and a half pound triggers for 69 bucks. I figured what the hell did I have to lose so I bought one and it's actually a decent feeling trigger. I tried to keep the PSA complete budget job so I bought an inexpensive handguard and inexpensive trigger but it'll nail 6 inch plates at 300 yards with no problem. And it averages about .688 moa which ain't bad at all for a budget build. Well I say it was a budget gun I paid right around $600 for the PSA PA-10, put a 300 dollar barrel in it, a cheap 89 dollar handguard ( I figured I would try cheap one first to see if it fit right ), a $69 trigger and it's a awesome little range and deer gun. So actually I have right around a grand in it. Which is still a relatively inexpensive AR-10 platform gun. The Aero Precision gun will be just slightly more money wise even with the Blem receivers it will pass the 1000 dollar mark buy stretch.

I have to say that CTS Tactical hooked a brother up with the good price on a barrel so talk to him for some parts he's very reasonable and a great guy to deal with. He has been good to me.

Aero if you have to build.
Use all Aero parts, yes this takes some of the fun out of it.

There is no AR10 spec so most successful builds are based off using parts from the same supplier.

By the time you source all the parts and tools it may be cheaper to have just purchased a complete AR10 from big name brand.

Ruger if your going to carry it...and a life time support.

Sig 716i but again no true AR10 spec so some of their parts are outside the norm.

DPMS has been in the game for a while.

Aero..buy complete with their support or build your own.
I agree to some point but don't use the Aero Precision site for your parts they are outrageous on their prices. Use somewhere like buds Gun Shop or Classic Firearms, AR-15 discounts, Primary Arms, Right To Bear and just places like that. Also check CTS Tactical they have great prices.

This is my Blem Aero Precision lower I just finished. I did put a Radian Talon Ambi Safety, billet mag release and upgraded bolt catch. I did use the Kaw Valley AR-10 spring and 5.4 oz. buffer. I elected to go with the shorter style buffer which is 2.5 inches. It gives it a little more room to cycle. I could have sworn it was hitting the back of the receiver extension on the PA-10 rifle. The recoil was unsavory and down right brutal. As soon as I put the 5.4 oz. buffer along with the Superlative Arms adj. gas block. and 3 port compensator. That really smoothed it out.
Well that about covers it from me. The rest is up to you buddy I hope to see some pics here in the near future.
As you can see in the pics the lower is flawless.

If you need a barrel I have a brand new ballistic advantage 18” 308 barrel. Aero is a good way to go with Ar-10 platform.
I agree. I used a BA Hanson Pro Black Series, 18 inch. It's basically a stainless barrel nitride coated. It doesn't increase surface strength like a CMV barrel but it looks a little better. That went in my PA-10. It's a great barrel. Real accurate. Sub MOA with just Federal M80C 149 gr. FMJ ammo. 40 bucks for 40 rounds at Walmart. Quite impressive if you ask me. I bought some Federal Gold Medal Match, OTM , 168 gr. but it shot well enough with the cheap stuff I didn't even bother with it. I will give it a whirl the next time. However I think I am going with a Nitride CMV barrel from CRITERION. They are lead hand lapped and are suppose to be great barrels. It's just a little more but I want to try one and just see how it performs.
