Stevens 311 16GA SXS coach gun

Got this nice older Stevens 16GA SXS shotgun a little while ago and never did much with it. Stock has typical nicks and dings, finish has minor handing marks, but overall, she is in fantastic shape for having been built in the late 1940's early 1950's by my best guess (if anyone knows how to properly date these things, please let me know)


I have a couple boxes of ammo for her as well. Looking to swap. Not sure what I want. Would like to get into a S&W Sigma or Ruger P-Series / SR9 auto. Will hear all trade offers as I am pretty wide open. I don't mind shipping intrastate to an individual, or interstate to an FFL / C&R (Assuming this shotgun's age can be verified as being 50+ years)

If it was manufactured between 1949 and 1968 there should be a small circle with a number and letter stamped between the trigger and the hinge pin. The letter reflects the year of manufacture.

A to N = 1949 - 1961
P = 1963
R to V = 1964 - 1968

Does it have this letter?
