Stock scratch repair

I have a Browning rifle that I had for sale. The morning I went to meet the gentleman that wanted it I somehow scratched the stock getting it out of the safe. The scratch is approximately a half inch long and about .020 deep. It appears to be in the high gloss finish only.

Does anyone have a simple process for repairing this small spot?? Of course I want it to be unnoticeable if possible. Mark is in pics.

It’s the ODT…the only logical answer is RATTLE CAN…

I fixed some scratches like that in a muzzleloader stock once. I took a damp towel and put over a scratch and used the end of a clothes iron to heat it up. I did this gradually as I'd never done it before but eventually got it where the scratches were gone.

I don't know if it would have been considered high gloss but it had a good finish (it was a T/C White Mtn carbine done 7-8 years ago). I started out very conservative on the heat so as to not mess it up and used just the end of the iron but gradually applied more heat. I was pleased with the results.
