Very thoughtful comments.I think it would need to be highly moderated by Okuma Steve, maybe a snap of a police report that shows the serial the number and proves its been declared stolen. Then make a thread with alphabetical order of the owners name, the gun make and model, description, and serial number. So when we need to check. we can pull up the thread, go to find on our browser, search serial and see if it pulls up
On that remember when someone is paying cash to bring a marker with you to check the bill. Didn't happen to me but my buddie was paid in fake bills then got arrested when he went to spend some of it. But I deffinatly think it's a great idea to post stolen handguns because theres nothing worse than buying a gun going to register it then having the police take it from you because it was at some point stolen. Then your out however much you spent on it.

good idea. in addition to that - JMHO of course - if serial #s are submitted to this database we speak of, it should be accompanied either with a case# or police report that someone has to verify for reasons that are pretty obvious to spell out.
