You can carry at state parks now, if you have a CCW permit. Just cant take into the buildings.

Sorry to hear about your stolen pistol. I had one stolen in 2009. 4 years later it came back.

Carry in State Parks in Georgia, including the buildings, has been legal since around 2010 or 2012. I forget the exact date.
