The little dogs were raising cain. A armadillo, first one I have ever seen anywhere. It was on my farm. In the front field and I didn’t have a gun. If I smoke one, is there any special way to handle the varmint. I put on gloves for any dead critter I have to handle. Do they carry any diseases to worry about.

Just the disease that makes your body parts fall off.

I grew up eating them. They can possibly carry leprosy but there is a very small risk of humans contracting the disease from an armadillo. Just shoot them and leave them lay for the buzzards or possums to eat. Crows will also clean it up for you.
