Summertime Education: SNAKES!

Ballvina Ballvina how about some details on the snakes. How big were they, and did you see them mowing or somewhere else. Just finished up mowing with a zero turn and I haven't seen a snake on the property yet. I know they are there as I have seen voles running in the grass.

Yes sir!
Top one was unalived while bush hogging a plot next to a creek bottom. I was texted to come over and check it out. While sitting on the wheeler chatting i heard some rustling coming through the leaves and debris. I was thinking some hogs were coming out on us from the bottom. I was scanning the wood line looking for movement and spotted the middle one. It was cruising along the top of everything so I was actually looking over it as it was only about 20 ft from us. I fired and missed and had to re-engage closer while leaving myself with 1 shot left. We were checking it out out and decided to get a stick to put it with the other one on the bush hog. Walked over to the wood line and was about to reach down to pick up a stick and spotted the rattler. I hollered fire in the hole and used the last round on him.
Sorry for the drawn out response just trying to give enough context.

IMG_1134.jpegWater snake. Had a big one living in my boat. I cant find his pic. I was a little surprised to see him when i opened up the bilge. I think the battery charger temp was just right. Lol

I made the nearly bad mistake of clearing something from the bush hog. The majority of an large and angry timber rattler was lingering. I didnt even realize and my buddy nearly stepped on him. Finished him with the limbsaw he was toting. That field is infested .
Be careful

Wouldn't be a good way to find him. I've seen lots of poisonous snakes at the boat docks. I think I'll pass
