Sunday afternoon irritation

No sir. Down here we respect the church totally. We stop without any traffic directors and let the people leave the church. We pull over when a funeral procession is oncoming.
I guess being in a bigger city it can be uncomfortable for some folks.

So if the church driveway lets out on a road with a 45mph limit and you're coming down the road doing 45 and someone pulls up to exit, you stop? Bull ****

Seems like the animosity is towards "church" rather than being simply inconvenienced. OP probably is grateful to be let out from a Braves game or a concert. Dang rich Braves fans!

The churches that I am mainly referring to are in my small town. But to answer your question, yes I have stopped before and let them out.

At least it would be a legit reason for an officer to be there stopping traffic. ;)

Seriously - If it was truly a safety concern things would be different. As it stands there isn't anything inherently dangerous about the road, so I am convinced that it's just a matter of their convenience over mine.

Yep sounds like their convenience over yours blow the horn ,and make them move ... Why should you have to wait just because they don't want to . If you are on the road you have the right of way not them .Call the po po ,and get the traffic stopper a ticket for impeading the flow of traffic .

yeah try that and let us know how that works out for ya......

My idea is a little different than what some of you are thinking. I have no intention of blowing past traffic stop at the speed limit.

This usually comes to mind when I've just been caught in the situation, and when I'm at the head of the line waiting. As he turns his attention to begin waving folks out I think - what if I just crawl around this guy and drive away?

They'd tazer your car and if that didn't work they sick underdog on you
