Suppressor mounts on a precision bolt gun?

Direct thread on the barrel will always offer a higher margin of precision (in the mounting) than adding in an interface, like a mount.

With that said - QD cans are used all the time without any issues. Some are definitely better than others though.

I run nothing but Silencerco factory QD mounts for my Omega can on all my guns; precision and not.

Best 100yd group I have ever shot was a measured .179" for 5 rounds, with my Omega can using the factory QD mount.

I used the same type of mount, with the same can, on a custom .300WinMag that I used to run out to 2000yds.

I use DA KeyMo on my DD MK12 and Bergara BMP for mounting up my Sandman-S with no issue. There is a minor POI shift with and without can, but it's very repeatable so far.

I've used both. You really can't go wrong with either. I am using Dead Air Keymo on all of my suppressors now except rimfire. POI shift is minimal but I shoot suppressed 90% of the time so not a big deal to me.
