That's where my SBR and Glock 19 with 33rnd mags come in. Sure 10mm is more powerful but in that scenario I would be going quantity of ammo in the gun over sheer power.Keep it.... true the 44 magnum is a much more powerful round, but 16 rounds of 10mm can be really comforting when you encounter multiple predators of the 2 or 4 legged variety. Reloading a 44 wheel gun ain't much fun when your fighting for your life.
Sure you prefer the 629 in all of the scenarios you listed, but imagine you find yourself in a post Katrina like event...I'm guessing you'd grab the Glock 20 and 2-3 spare mags.
So are you saying that because the 44 mag is punching out 1600 ft/lbs of energy vs 700 ft/lbs of energy over the 10mm that you don't grab the 10mm when you are in bear country? I have a 44 mag but I also have a 10mm that I bought just for hunting deer and I even took it bear hunting with me last year, on purpose. With the right ammo such as buffalo bore or underwood the 10mm and the added bonus of the extra ammo you have at least to me outweighs carrying the 44mag. I love both rounds but I love my 10mm more and it is absolutely more than capable of doing what you need. 10mm 220 gr. Hardcast bullet traveling at 1200 fps with 703 ft/lbs of energy and a 300 gr. Jacketed Flat Nose bullet traveling at 1300 fps with 1126 ft/lbs of energy out of a 5.5 inch bbl. I realize the 10mm is no 44 mag but I am just sayin the 10mm can do more than you realize and and you asked to talk you in or out of it and I am talking you into it. I absolutely love mine.
You are correct in that sir.The 10mm is comparable to a 41 magnum not a 44 magnum
If anyone wants this 20 feel free to pm me with a trade offer or cash offer. It's like new, box, docs, three mags etc. still on the fence right now. But I'm not going to actually list it till I decide against it.
