well some ideas on the "for" side, is yes the .44 can get up to 1600 foot lbs but those rounds are awful to shoot, the kick is extreme and the flash and sounds are insane, yes I can shoot them and hit targets but something charging with high adrenalin I don't know when you couple in all of those facts. the 10mm is SIGNIFICANTLY easier to shoot and put multiple rounds on target which significantly less flash, retort, and recoil and fire faster. I would much rather hit my target multiple times with 10mm than once or maybe twice with a full blast .44
Oh yeah that is for sure a factor I'm weighing on heavily, heavy hitting .44 is a handful where as the hot 10 is still controllable and quick.

You can have it for tree fidy on two conditions, one the lockness monster gives me the tree fidy, and two the woman in your avatar comes with it.
I can do it! Just let me know when and where!

On a side note since I already have a Glock 21 and I have to buy a new barrel anyways to shoot 10mm lead, why not just buy a conversion barrel for my 21 to shoot 10mm?

that is an excellent option. If it was me and I had that option I would totally just get the conversion barrel

And that's what I just did. Ordered the conversion barrel directly from KKM. So quality barrel, quality company and I can still use my 21 and sell/trade the 20. I was going to buy a KKM barrel for the 20 anyways if I was going to keep it, so for the same price it's just made for my 21 instead. Win win in my eyes.
:)

yup deff sounds like the best of both worlds! I love how glocks just need different barrels. my main carry is actually a 23 with a 9mm conversion barrel

1649ftlbs to be exact granit that is load tailored to super red Hawks and TC encore pistols and rifles. It would be to much for my smith, but still the point I was making was hottest vs hottest loads.

Yep, almost maxed out a Redhawk once; five rounds and I had a black an blue hand.......and no I don't have a wimpy hand! The only time I felt under gunned with the 44 mag was when I was in some dence underbrush....dead animal on the ground that I had just shot and a pack of wild dogs barking and growling in the underbrush. Six rounds just didn't seem like enough that day.
