Taurus TX22

I would recommend trying some different ammo. Rimfires can be picky on ammo as far as accuracy is concerned. Also have you checked the bore? Any copper or lead fouling can affect accuracy too.
I have cleaned it several times. It’s almost like ripples in the barrel. Wish I could take a picture of it but it to small. I did buy it at Academy Sports and I know it has a lifetime warranty. I might just let them send it to Taurus.

There was reports on some of those having problems with the barrels. Check out the Taurus/Rossi forum on www.rimfirecentral.com for more info. Quite a bit of discussion on there about these pistols.

Just checked the site. I do think it might be the barrel. I copied one photo of a bad barrel. Mine does not look this bad, but looks almost the same. I will be taking it to be sent to Taurus. I just hate not having it. It’s almost like sending your kid to college. Thanks Poppa Mike

Yeah it sucks to have to send one back, but Taurus has a pretty good warranty.
That site is a great source of info and advice for most anything rimfire.

They're cheap, go buy another one so you will have something to shoot while Taurus has your first pistol. Taurus is notoriously piss poor on customer service....and I have had personal experience. It might improve now that CS has moved from Miami area to new Taurus plant in Bainbridge, GA....might, maybe get better, we can only hope. I have a TX and only shot one mag for a function test in the backyard.

For the OP, I would suggest a good cleaning....and I bet he didn't clean it before shooting...and a change of ammo. Remington is known for dirty rimfire ammo, but Thunderbolts more so than Golden Bullets. Try some CCI MiniMags or standard velo.

My Rem Nylons LOVE Goldens, run like a sewing machine.
