Am I the only one that tries to set up their taxes where I get my money all year long? I try my best to break even. I'm not much on giving loans and I for sure as heck do not want to give the government a year long intrest free loan. I just did my taxes and I owe $80 this year well $76 to be exact. I think that's pretty dang close to right on. Everyone I know wants huge refunds, but I don't understand why, it's like locking up your money for a year with nothing to show for it. Am I the only one that feels this way?

Only people that get huge refunds are people near or below the poverty line with kids. Mostly it's the people that **** out babies and dont work. Eitc should not apply to people that dont work. Better yet it should be scrapped.

I see both sides, I fall on the latter side.

Just something I dont think about and at the end of the year I get a nice little bonus.

Sometimes i save it, sometimes I spend it.

I have no doubt, it would get 100% spent throughout the year if I adjusted my deductions, so I am fine with giving the gubba mint a small loan they repay every year.

I usually get $5-$6K back so nothing crazy.

me and my wife both work, no kids. we usually get back what I call a huge refund ( around $3-4k) but it's usually because we spend alot of work related expenses throughout the year.

This is me exactly. I don't make any interest leaving it in the bank and I GUARANTEE I would have spent it during the year

I pay throughout the year. I've adjusted my taxes to pay more almost every year. I still end up owing 6-12k each year. I feel like I'm getting bent over. I had none of these issues before Barack Obama was in office. I own a small business and have been screwed by the healthcare act and all tax increase tied to it.
