"Terrified Passengers..."

"the only type of passenger who may have been able to take a loaded magazine through security would be a FEDERAL officer"

"According to Frontier, the ammunition and magazine, marked with the initials “K H,” “belonged to a law enforcement officer who was on an earlier flight on the same aircraft.”

The ammunition and magazine were given to Atlanta police until the owner could retrieve the items, the airline said."

So, a D.A. LEO (Federal?) leaves his / her magazine on a Frontier (bwahahahaha) flight, and it instills "Terror".

WTH?

Them boolits coulda started going off at altitude, leading to catastrophic decompression, and destruction of, the aircraft.
At least, that's what some movies show...

Maybe this is what they found that caused all the ruckus...

A unidentified loaded magazine left on an airplane for some unknown reason (unknown at that time)

is a very serious issue that should trigger a security alert!

It could be that bad guys, perhaps working with agents who are part of the cleaning crew or food catering service staged a magazine in one place, a pistol frame in another place, the slide and barrel assembly and yet a different location on board, and a terrorist will find those and assemble them into a woking loaded gun during the flight.

You watch too many movies....
But... the early screening machines, you could sometime slip through with a 4" blade lockback knife in your left hip pocket.
