I have noticed a lot of post like this in classified threads. I personally want to do all negotiations via pm so there is an ODT record of it in case it is necessary to review.Plus i am not really interested in giving my phone number out anymore than necessary.
Is there some benefit to doing deals that way?

One of several issues I have with this is they PM to text them. If they have the time to do that just say what you want to say instead of making it more complicated then it has to be. Hell the guy who did that to me this morning I am still waiting for his response. From personal experience you are more likely to be standing in the cold waiting for a no show dealing with people who just want to text then with someone on here who deals with PM's first. Another reason I am real strict on time I am a really busy person I have lots going on you tell me 3:00pm and 3:01 rolls around and you do not call to tell me you are running late I'm gone. I have things I need to do. I always am early cause I respect the persons time as well.

When they comment or PM a number to text, just call the number and when they answer say "PM me on ODT" and hang up
