texting and driving ...just v enting

After spending all last weekend changing all 4 brake pads, transmission fluid and filter, flushing the radiator, changing my oil, changing the air filter, the fuel filter and then detailing my car (2008 Chevy impala SS ) I decided to take my nice clean car for a ride over to forsyth county pawn and gun. However I never made it becuase as I stopped to get gas and some beer for later a lady driving through the parking lot was texting and listening to thumping rap crap cut across the parking lanes and t boned me. As I knew this would happen since it was on private property the only thing the police could do was write a report and give me her insurance info. I called my company let them know what happened and today they called me back to inform me she had let her insurance lapse and I would have to use my uninsured motor vehicle coverage to pay for it. This just pisses me off to know end. Just needed to vent.

It just doesn't pay to be a good, productive citizen anymore does it?
I feel your pain....try to do all the right things just so some lo-life POS can come by and ruin it for you.
What legal action does your ins company have against her negligence? Did she at least get cited for driving w/o ins???

They can sue her but as the my agent said there probably wont be anything to get. No she wasn't cited for not having no insurance since the cop just looked at the card and wrote the info down and put it in his report. He said it was private property so he could not do anything.

I feel for ya man. That private property law needs to be changed! These people are a menace to society and too dangerous to be allowed to drive, seems like every time I get on my motorcycle some idiot texting or talking tries to kill me! Sue her butt anyway!

Tazz be careful on that motorcycle around here. I don't take mine out near as much becuase there seems to be a idiot every half mile. Last year a buddy laid his down when this broad merged over into him . I told my insurance to go after her. I don't care if it 5$ I want it.

Sucks man. Did she have to have her car towed away? That would have been driving without insurance if she left the parking lot.

It's bad enough in Newnan, I ain't about to ride around the Atl. unless I just have to.
