Does she belong to a church and the reason I ask is because years ago a neighbor had a tree problem and she asked the church for help..One of the members came out and cut it down for her..

Got two, and we love them! Planted both of ours from transplanted saplings. Great old time tree with magnificent shade. One is probably 40 feet tall..........

I can do that, send me a PM. It'll be my first time, but I'm willing to borrow a friend's chainsaw and figure it out. I can pretty much guarantee I'll take out the house and a few powerlines but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

The only shade tree in the yard, effecting nothing.... but lets cut it down? I wouldn't have even entertained this past the conversation with her.

She is 84. This tree wouldn't be a problem for her in the next 20 years (and the odds of that happening are slim)

There is good will, then there is helping people who are bored.
