I miss when I was young all the wife’s would bring thanksgiving dinner to the deer camp,because it was the first day of doe days and the menfolks wasn’t gonna miss it.deer meat was a real treasure in those days.

If it was anything like our camp....it was a good thing we didn't have cell phones back them!!
Still trying to decide what to do with this Monster Butterball?? I’ve fried , smoked , and baked injected and brined turkeys before that turned out pretty good. Last year I baked it according to the “Butterball directions” because I had a roast on the grill ; it was probably the most tender I’ve ever cooked.
There is no wrong answer....
I have few pics from my past as well. Only memories that will likely fade with age
I've seen a recipe for hanging it down the chimney and smoke it over the fireplace.
