The Andy Griffith Show...

My wife grew up watching the show and every time the show came on back in the day, it meant dinner time.

She loved the show as a kid so much she made me put this up in the kitchen- although not the exact model, but very reminiscent of the one Andy would talk on in their kitchen.

Andy Griffith was a anti-gun liberal.

That is a general commentary about a lot of the Hollywood stars. Gene Hackman was excellent in Uncommon Valor, but was a gun hating lefty. When you watch a scene in the town of Mayberry and see some guy misusing a firearm only to be verbally reprimanded by Andy Taylor, it's difficult to separate their character from who they are.

The whole message of the show was anti-gun. Just like the movie Tombstone.
