I remember hearing that song a lot at the Public Swimming pool at the city park in Ashland Ohio. I use to ride my bike 5 miles one way to the pool everyday. My mom got me a membership every year. I loved hearing that song. This was from 1975-1980. They had a local radio station blaring from the speakers all around the pool. Those were good times.
You can't let a youngster take off like that these days. Some of the people running around our streets these days are animals..
 
The ship's bell is on display at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point, Michigan. It was raised in 1995 and a replica bell inscribed with the names of the crew put in its place.
