The future.

It's funny to me how many people think their cell phones provide privacy. Back when I was active duty I used to sit on a piece of electronics gear and listen to cell phone calls on our way back in from sea.

Then there was a company I interviewed with that had an active faraday cage lined with copper in their warehouse. The government has electronic equipment that can intercept "ALL" cell phone traffic and analyze it.

Smart TVs as well. We had one in our bedroom that started turning on all by itself in the middle of the night. The last time was the last straw for my wife. 2am she wakes me up and says "see see there the damn TV just turned on by itself". We haven't plugged it back in since.
 
People should watch the movie "Enemy of the State". I don't think the NSA was too happy about this movie.
Are the movie “SNOWDEN” the former NSA guy who leaked out intel about the government spying on u.s citizens and collect data on all of us. Even the movie “the fifth estate” is a good one...
