Are you getting any fawns on camera?
More bucks than does it appears. All are young bucks but good bucks. Most of them appear to be 2.5 years. I would take the bucks with the smaller racks and not shoot any does. Just my 2 cents. A couple of those bucks will be whoppers in a year or two, and I believe the doe populations are better off at the very least 2/1 vs. the bucks....Oh and I'll bet there is one buck in there you haven't seen yet that will run these guys off before too long. Looks like a great spot to bow hunt. Good luck gettin' some meat.
I havent seen any fawns on cam because the whole place is surrounded by a six foot tall fence. I would love to let these buck grow but the only problem with that is the land is up for sale and could be sold anyday. I have a feeling that you are right and there is a few bucks that didnt make it on cam but I am betting they show themselves before long. And as far as does go I only have 1 or maybe 2 so far, there seems to be a lot more bucks. I'm going to let the doe's walk cause they will keep the bucks around!
Group buy?.....eh?
I would love to but I think the price tag for the land and house is north of a million!
I am keeping my hopes up that it doesn't sale for the next 4-5 years. Heading out this afternoon to move my trail cam and swap the sd card with any luck I will have plenty of deer porn to show you guys! After this week I wont be heading back out there till the second weekend of hunting season. Sure wished I could hunt it sooner but my friend who is hunting with me is going to be out of town the first week so I told him I would wait till he could go.For that kind of money I would buy a few hundred acres in S Ga. and gun hunt too. But on the bright side, with such a steep price it will be much harder to sell so you may have it for a while. People who spend that kind of green usually wish to build their own way, not buy someone else's project. Just trying to stay optimistic for you.
Our old hunting property here in Douglasville was worth probably $15 million. It took years for them to sell it. Comedian Tyler Perry ended up buying it last year. It took someone with his kind of money to buy it. Sucks we lost our property but had it not happened I would not have my own land in S Ga today.
