The never ending AR question, What and Why?

As far as custom and factory builds go I disagree. I have rifles I built that average .375 MOA. I have never fired nor seen a factory built rifle that will do that.

instead of buying, I think I'm going to take the majority of advice given and build one. What I have gathered so far; stay away from polly, go Alloy or Mil spec. Looking at Mid length 16" freedom upper and build the lower. Need to invest in good Bolt carrier group and good trigger (What does everyone suggest is a good trigger?) looking at doing Anderson or Spikes lower and go from there.... Thanks for the advice and hope to get started soon

Sounds like a good plan. Best trigger for the money to me is ALG's ACT trigger or go without nickel boron and get the ACT QMS trigger for $45. A lot of people like RRA'S 2 stage national match trigger for $99. Best BCG for the money is AIM surplus's black nitride with the C158 bolt for $99 and free shipping.

I just seen a thread started about triggers on here and almost everyone said either ALG ACT, CMC or the Rock River 2 stage... my question, if I am using primarily to shoot hogs and yotes, would I want a 2 stage or 1?
