I'm wondering how the lefty slide release works. It has to work together with the right handed release somehow I guess, because the mag follower activates the right handed release. It may be possible to remove the lefty release all together if you don't want it on your gun.

I would hope it is a solid single stamped piece that would come out after removal of the locking block. Would hate to see more individual parts added.

Yeah, I bet you're right. I was thinking of two seperate pieces, but it just about has to be one solid piece.

cant be sure from the pictures but the old rifling is the octagonal "cannon" style, this looks more of a true round
