I move to GA after my divorce in CT in 2007. Didn't know many people here, and lost a lot of friends in the divorce that picked her side and didn't talk to me again including a guy I thought was my best friend. It was a very tough point in my life. Since then I have a lot of new exciting stuff in my life. You guys have made me feel welcome. Aside from the guys I sail with this is my source of community, camaraderie and support.

Specifically:
I got my dog on ODT - beautiful great Dane puppy, I love her
I got lots of new friends on ODT - Hayata, Jake, Jay, Biker(I know his real name but cant ruin the surprise) - too many to list.
My new favorite hobby - guns

But really, I've gotten some cool stuff off of here (M44 with a hawk engraved in the side, a Jennings .22 I bought just to see how bad it was, a truck, various other items), met some really cool people at the meets (why does it seem like I only make it to the ones we hold at Hooters?), and just overall passed a lot of time reading, arguing, laughing, and of course looking at girls with guns. Steve, you're doing a damn fine job with this site, no matter what ARCMAN, Ken Ford, bearpugh, Soviet, Bear44, NWSharpshooter, Nonliberal, and the rest of the Order of the Half-diseased Chicken and Golden Lego crowd say.

I like the ODT. Especially the meet and greets which seem to be happening every couple weeks now and in many areas.

Plenty of opportunity to meet people from here in person and I have made quite a few "real life" friends that I first met on here.
