Based on this article the tax elimination will not go into effect until January 1st, 2026. I suspect a ton of us will wait just to save two hundred dollars. No, not because I'm cheap. There is a point that the principal rules. I fear the industry leaders got too wrapped up in the weeds to recognize the day of implementation.

On the other hand, suppressor sales will soar starting January 2nd, 2026.

Here is the email I just sent out to my Customers, I will attach the extensive list of cans with free tax stamps. That is the best option right now.

My prediction is most people will wait until October / November thinking they will be safe, and they may be or they may miss the boat.
I would not wait past middle of September

With a surprising change of events the removal of the $200 Tax stamps for the purchase of silencers, and SBR's was added to the BBB.

The no tax stamp fee processing will begin on Jan 1, 2026. Which leaves quite a bit of no man's land time until then... Every indication is availability will be limited, and processing times may uptick slightly with the influx of new Form 4's on Jan 1. There are a couple ways to navigate the changing market if you want to save $200.

1. Purchase a model that Silencer Shop is offering a Free Tax Stamp on Currently. I will attach a list of those. Some expire at the end of July and some will go till the end of the year. You can order directly thru my link, and Silencer Shop will send it to me, or I can Quote and order them for you.

2. Buy a Can now that's not on the Free tax stamp list, and either I or Silencer Shop will hold it for you. For Silencer Shop to hold it you must buy it directly from their site.

I have sources in addition to Silencer shop so if you want something they don't offer or is out of stock Let me know.

Also Also there is litigation pending to remove Silencers, and SBR's from the NFA since the NFA is now an unconstitutional registry with no tax fee associated, but who knows how long this will take to play out.

I had a deal on A R9 posted here, but had to remove it because it was Under MAP. Let me know if your interested in a R9.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I'm only looking to add 1 more can to my collection. A 30cal or one of the 46cal cans than can handle everything. I'm still debating which way I want to go. So the $200 stamp is whatever.

I think you'll see a drop in sales for sure but I dont think it'll tank to the point manufacturers wont be able to pay their bills, although I could be wrong. Heres a couple of things to consider: people with money will likely purchase now before the rush to beat the wait time, some dealers are saying they will hold the purchase until after the first, now I'm not sure what the point of that is but I suspect they are still making the sale this year. Also there are already a number of manufacturers/dealers that were doing tax free deals so someway or the other theres money out there to do this they can continue to do it OR they might be in a financial position to wait until the 2nd when the huge influx comes.

This would be me. I'm only buying one more suppressor (for now) that's been on layaway for weeks as I wait for my LGS's kiosk to be set-up, but Silencer Shop offering zero dollar tax stamps on some of their stuff is tempting. I would love another SBR, but not enough to fork out another $200 right now.
