If I get my wish, in 2025 there will be a several new holidays we will celebrate (as well as reinstating some old ones like REL day) but there are a couple that will disappear.

No biggie. MLK was certainly a leader and hero.

But Robt E Lee was a more talented man and hero:
1. Undisputed best general.
2. Only cadet to graduate ever from West Point without a single demerit. Think about that.
3. He owned slaves, but freed them.
4. He maintained his character and dignity after the government purposely desecrated his home and then seized it.

Many of us know his birthday and don’t need a reminder. His character is something many of us have always tried to emulate.
