Don't forget that Maggie had stepped up with the hilltop group. She could easily have been mistaken as a #2.

There's a whole lot of opinions out their about who gets the home run. One thing for sure, Rick, Carl, Carol, Morgan, and the preacher man are safe.
I'm just glad to see Rick stopped shaking like a leaf and manned up a little.
My money's on Maggie! She was kneeling to Ricks right. If you watch the teaser, Negan killed whoever was on Rick's right, plus he had blood splatter on the right side of his face. My wife also pointed out that she cut her hair in real life which could indicate she's no longer filming TWD episodes....
I'm thinking Maggie too. BUT, from what I recall, they recorded multiple shots of that scene so that the actors didn't even know who was getting the literal axe. So, I don't put much stock in the haircut theory. Maggie had stepped into a leadership role with Hilltop. The preview talking about the "right hand man" makes me think she could easily have been mistaken for Rick's #2 by Neegan's group.

Good point! I can't wait to find out. I heard it was a SHOCKER and more than one main character dies in the season premiere.
