Actually I'm probably better than I think I am.

Pension, healthcare(really good healthcare) union standardized wages, I'm sure I could think of more.

No I dropped out of college with a pregnant wife.... probably a mistake but you do what you need to when the bills are due. I don't need to blast at you, but I would put my carpenter skills against you or anyone you know. Bet on that.

If you are a gr8 carpenter ,then no doubt you work right on anyway, with all the homes going up .

Cool… they can work enough OT that the strike was just a long paid vacation.
At least that’s the way it worked when we were out for awhile.

They didn't get paid while out because of the writer strike. They were out doing other odd jobs to make money while out of work.
