There is a reason your stuff isn’t selling.

I've done that. Just much more demand for some things versus others on here, which is understandable. Had no problem selling the items on eBay. If I ever want to really thin out certain firearms, they'll almost certainly go to Gun Broker. Some things are in demand on here and are easy enough to sell, but others are not.
That’s all I was trying to say…

When did making a fair and reasonable offer for something you are interested in buying go out of style?

Instead of making an offer, people just post rants on prices being too high for them.

Potential buyers should message the seller with an offer backed up by a reason for not wanting to pay the asking price. The respectable seller is then obligated to respond to the offer by accepting or countering the offer.

Negotiating a deal is not rocket science.

Truth is, I have owned/own high end guns, low end guns. Put expensive parts in inexpensive frames. They all went bang, all shot to my ability. But there is a clear difference between a Taurus 1911 and a brown or nighthawk. Fit and finish for one , bragging rights, and resale value.
You’re right, there IS a clear difference between a Nighthawk and a Taurus. Nobody said there wasn’t. My point is the ODT is full of people who like to bitch.

Edited to add how a simple comma, or lack thereof, can make the difference between an acceptable opinion and a timeout.

We need a Museum Section. Anything that has not sold or has had a price reduction in six weeks goes there.
In the past, I have posted for (2) cycles e.g., I renew my listing one time. If it doesn't sell by then, I am either too high on my price or it's just not the right time to post it. Then again, I am not doing this to make a living or pay my bills, it's just a hobby..if it sells it sells, if it doesn't then I just save it for later.

Some folks would say, "You better buy this right away, or it goes straight back to the safe!"

I mean, what a fearful threat!!! :becky: :becky: 😂 😂 :brick:
If I had a safe, I might say that. I keep my weapons strategically placed around my household - on my desk, on the back of my commode, on my riding lawn mower, in the microwave, etc., you never know when things are going to go south!
